Apple Music has announced the opening lineup for Apple Music Hall, described on its own site as "Apple's first-ever live venue," inside London's Battersea Power Station. Elton John headlines opening night on Monday, Sept. 28, with a run of shows through Dec. 2 that also includes Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks, Burna Boy, Chase & Status and Charli xcx, according to the venue's site.

Consequence reports that tickets for the first three shows, Elton John, Baby Keem and Skye Newman, go on sale Monday, Sept. 28, at 9 a.m. BST. Every show will be livestreamed on Apple Music. Dice powers ticketing for all events at the venue, and the independent UK promoter Communion ONE handles bookings and promotion, Music Week reported.
Inside the venue
Apple Music Hall holds 600 people on the Battersea Power Station riverside site, MacRumors reported. The room has a 48-speaker Spatial Audio system positioned around the audience and a 38-foot-wide stage that can be reconfigured for front-facing or in-the-round shows. Behind the stage sit two recording and mix studios built to professional standard, and the venue is hardwired for more than 16 camera feeds into a dedicated broadcast control room that also supports iPhone capture alongside the broadcast cameras.
"At Apple Music Hall, artists can perform an intimate live show and walk out with a finished Spatial Audio recording, a broadcast-ready mix, and multicamera video — all from a single show," Apple said in its announcement with Battersea Power Station. Oliver Schusser, Apple's vice president of Apple Music and international content, said the venue takes Apple "an unprecedented step further in our commitment to artists and fans by supporting live music in ways only Apple can do."
Apple Music Radio is also opening studios at Battersea Power Station for its London-based hosts and shows, per the Battersea Power Station announcement. Communion ONE managing director Mazin Tappuni said the production quality "is world class, livestreaming to fans across the world," and Dice chief commercial officer Andrew Foggin said the venue's attention to detail "is in total alignment with our ethos."
Why Battersea
Battersea Power Station, the decommissioned coal-fired plant on the south bank of the Thames, reopened in 2022 as a mixed-use retail, office and residential site after a decade-long redevelopment. Apple already occupies all six floors of office space in the building's former boiler house, a roughly 46,000-square-meter UK headquarters, Dezeen reported. Apple Music Hall becomes the site's newest addition, joining a lineup of shops, restaurants and a cinema inside the converted turbine halls.
The venue arrives a year after Burna Boy's "No Sign of Weakness" and months after Burna Boy co-headlined the World Cup opening ceremony. Charli xcx closes the opening run two years after her "Brat" album helped define a summer on Apple Music's own top-albums list.
