Two 4-2 teams meet under the lights at Soldier Field tonight, and the NBA's opening week keeps rolling with a loaded slate of its own. Six NHL games round out the board.
Marquee: Patriots at Bears (8:15 PM EDT, Prime Video)
New England has won three straight behind Drake Maye, who's been sharp with 11 touchdowns against one interception over that stretch. Chicago counters with Caleb Williams back from a hamstring injury that cost him three games, and he looked fine in his return, throwing for over 300 yards in a 31-point win over Atlanta. Both teams sit at 4-2, both have real playoff ambition, and the short week adds a wrinkle after New England played Sunday. The Bears have the extra rest and the home crowd, and the market has them favored for it.
Vegas line (via ESPN): Bears -3, over/under 50.5, Patriots +130 / Bears -155 on the moneyline.
Also tonight
- Cavaliers at 76ers (7:00 PM EDT, ESPN). Both teams are managing injury reports early in the season, Cleveland's listed as day-to-day with a couple of role players, Philadelphia the same. Worth checking the final inactive lists before tip.
- Nuggets at Thunder (9:30 PM EDT, ESPN). Denver heads into Oklahoma City to face the reigning conference favorites. Both rosters return largely intact from last season, so this one reads like a legitimate measuring-stick game this early.
- Predators at Bruins (7:00 PM EDT, ESPN+). Boston opens its home slate against a Nashville team looking to shake off a slow start.
- Ducks at Devils (7:00 PM EDT, Prime Video). Anaheim's young core travels east to face New Jersey in an early-season matchup between two teams on the rise.
- Golden Knights at Blues (8:00 PM EDT, ESPN+). Vegas travels to St. Louis in an early-season Central Division tilt.
- Hurricanes at Oilers (9:00 PM EDT, ESPN+). Carolina closes out a back-to-back road trip against an Edmonton team still finding its footing.
The Bears-Patriots game is the national broadcast, but the NBA's early-season measuring sticks and a full six-game NHL card make tonight a genuinely busy night across three sports.
