This format previews the Vegas line on tonight's marquee game only. A full picks model for the rest of the slate is in the works, until then check watch.uristocrat.com for live odds and broadcast info on every game tonight.
Monday night belongs to Golden State and Atlanta. The WNBA Finals shift to the Bay with the Valkyries up 1-0, and the NFL's Monday Night Football slot and the MLB wild card bracket both add weight to the slate.
Marquee: Atlanta Dream at Golden State Valkyries, WNBA Finals Game 2 (8:00 PM ET, USA Network, CNBC, Peacock, E!)
Golden State took Game 1 and now gets another home date at Chase Center before the series shifts to Atlanta for Game 3 on Wednesday. The Valkyries went 3-0 against the Dream in the regular season and are favored to close this one out early. Atlanta's biggest question mark is Allisha Gray, who hurt her left hand in the semifinals and has been day-to-day since; Angel Reese, the league's reigning Defensive Player of the Year, is expected to play and has to carry more of the load inside if Gray is limited. Golden State is missing Kayla Thornton for the season but swept defending champion Las Vegas to get here, and that depth has carried them through two rounds.
Vegas line: Golden State -2.5, total 151.5, moneyline Valkyries -135 / Dream +114 (ESPN).
Also tonight
- Washington Commanders at San Francisco 49ers (8:15 PM ET, ESPN, ABC). Monday Night Football closes out Week 7. Washington is banged up on both sides of the ball, and San Francisco gets the Commanders at home off a short week for the visitors.
- Cleveland Guardians at Tampa Bay Rays (8:00 PM ET, TBS, truTV). Cleveland's Tristan Walters and Tampa Bay's Shane McClanahan are both out, which puts extra weight on each bullpen in a game that matters.
- San Jose Sharks at Toronto Maple Leafs (7:30 PM ET, ESPN+, NBC). Toronto is at full strength and hosting a Sharks team still finding its identity early in the season.
- Colorado Avalanche at Philadelphia Flyers (7:00 PM ET, ESPN+, NBC, Altitude Sports). Colorado is banged up with multiple forwards out, giving Philadelphia a window to steal one at home.
- Pittsburgh Penguins at Utah Mammoth (9:00 PM ET, ESPN+, Utah 16). Late window, cross-conference matchup to cap the night for anyone still up after the Finals and Monday Night Football wrap.
Everything else tips off in the early window tonight, but the night builds toward one clock: if Golden State protects home court again, Atlanta flies back needing to win three of four on the road to keep the season alive.
