Braves host Phillies tonight with a trip to the NLCS on the line. Fever and Aces play their own deciding Game 3, the Steelers and Browns headline Thursday Night Football, and the NHL drops the puck on a new season.
Marquee: Phillies at Braves, Game 3 (8:00pm ET, NBC/Peacock)
The series is tied 1-1 and win-or-go-home. Austin Riley's eighth-inning, three-run homer won Game 1 for Atlanta; Philadelphia answered in Game 2 behind Cristopher Sanchez. Aaron Nola is lined up to start Game 3 for the Phillies. The Braves haven't named a starter, with Grant Holmes expected to soak up innings behind a possible bullpen opener from Ray Kerr or Brent Suter.
Vegas line: Phillies -118 / Braves -102 moneyline, total 7.5, Phillies -1.5 on the run line at +144 (ESPN).
Also tonight
- Fever at Aces (9:00pm ET, USA/CNBC). Indiana and Las Vegas are tied 1-1 and play a deciding Game 3 at Michelob Ultra Arena. Kelsey Mitchell has carried the Fever offense; A'ja Wilson leads the Aces.
- Steelers at Browns (8:15pm ET, Prime Video). Thursday Night Football from Cleveland.
- Lightning at Rangers (7:00pm ET, ESPN+). Season opener from Madison Square Garden.
- Flyers at Devils (7:00pm ET, Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu). Season opener from Prudential Center.
Baseball's elimination game is the night's center of gravity, but it's a loaded Thursday across four leagues: two teams play for a season, two more open theirs.
