Willy Chavarria gave his adidas partnership a tennis-court turn. The designer closed his Spring/Summer 2027 show at Paris Fashion Week with a first look at two unreleased Stan Smith collaborations — wearing one pair himself while tennis legend Stan Smith walked in the other.

Chavarria's white pair keeps the silhouette's classic shape but reworks the details: a shaggy green heel tab, “W” branding at the back, and a small rose embroidered on the side. The second is covered entirely in thick green suede that reads almost like grass — a direct nod to the Stan Smith's tennis roots without tipping into costume. adidas has not shared a release date or pricing; the pairs could arrive later in 2026 or alongside the Spring/Summer 2027 collection.

The read

This is Chavarria's deepest move yet into adidas's archive. After the Jabbar basketball collaboration and the Comienza con el Sueño Mexico capsule, taking on the Stan Smith — one of the best-selling sneakers ever and a silhouette already mid-revival — puts him on the brand's most commercial canvas, not just its sport-heritage one. Debuting it on a runway finale, on the feet of the man the shoe is named after, is the kind of staging that turns a product into a moment. The only thing missing is a date, and adidas has left that blank on purpose. adidas kept mining its archive, reviving Billie Jean King's 1974 signature shoe.
