Sneakers

The Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 "Mag" arrives today, August 18, at $180, releasing through SNKRS and select retailers per Sneaker Bar Detroit. The colorway is Photon Dust/Dusty Cactus-Picante Red-White, style code IX4084-025, and it maps the grey-and-blue palette of the Nike Mag from Back to the Future Part II onto Andre Agassi's 1990 tennis silhouette.

Later this month, Reebok's collaboration with Zellerfeld puts Allen Iverson's Question on a fully 3D-printed upper. We covered the details in Reebok and Zellerfeld Release the 3D-Printed Question 96/26 on August 25.

Sports

The Buss family is out of the Lakers. TMZ reported Monday that the family sold its remaining Buss Family Trust shares to the Bob Iger and Josh Kushner group, a stake the family put at 17.8% and worth roughly $2.225 billion at the deal's valuation. That valuation is $12.5 billion, the price Iger and Kushner paid Mark Walter — who had bought control from the Busses at $10 billion in a sale the NBA approved in October 2025. ESPN put Walter's gain at $2.5 billion, realized about ten months after the NBA signed off.

In baseball, Monday's slate gave the Cubs a 7-5 extra-innings win over the White Sox in the Crosstown Classic, the Dodgers an 11-5 rout of Colorado, and the Mets a 2-1 win over San Diego. Cincinnati and St. Louis split a doubleheader, the Reds taking the nightcap 6-5 in 10. Golden State beat Dallas 78-70 in the WNBA. Our Games to Watch preview had the Wrigley matchup on the card.

On the memorabilia side, Shohei Ohtani's Tokyo Series cleats went for $440,055 at auction — the figure and the context are in our report.
