Four full-length projects landed this Friday, each a different kind of comeback: Lil Baby's fifth album, Skepta's first solo record in seven years, SOB x RBE's first group project since 2019, and Statik Selektah's latest posse-cut showcase for Mass Appeal.

This week's lineup: Lil Baby, Skepta, SOB x RBE, Statik Selektah.

Lil Baby — FRESH

FRESH is Lil Baby's fifth studio album and his first full-length since 2024's Wham, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Atlanta rapper kept the feature list tight: Future, Young Thug, and Rylo Rodriguez are the only guests, with Future and Young Thug reuniting with him on "All My Partnas." Lead single "Dead Fresh," produced by Pharrell Williams, peaked at No. 18 on the Hot 100 ahead of the album's release. It's Lil Baby's third Quality Control/Motown release since he resumed releasing music after 2025's mixtape The Leaks.

Skepta — The Fork and Knife

The Fork and Knife is Skepta's first solo album in seven years, following 2019's Ignorance Is Bliss, and closes out a rollout that stretched across 2025 and 2026 after the grime pioneer first teased the project under the working title Knife and Fork. He previewed it with singles "Innocent Smile," featuring Chase & Status and Suggs, and "Pandora's Box," and debuted new material live at Reading Festival before the album's release on Big Smoke Records and Epic. The tracklist includes "Chippie," a collaboration with French star Aya Nakamura — not his first cross-genre pairing; Skepta linked with Portable and Jae5 on "Tony Montana" in 2024.

SOB x RBE — From The Land

From The Land is the Vallejo trio's first group album since 2019's Strictly Only Brothers, and arrives as a reunion project built around Yhung T.O., DaBoii, and Slimmy B — the group went quiet for several years before regrouping. They reintroduced themselves in July with "Ten Summers," their first new single together in seven years, and followed it with "Someone" and its companion video ahead of the 13-track album's release.

Statik Selektah — Expensive Taste

Expensive Taste is the latest entry in Statik Selektah's run of producer-led posse-cut albums for Mass Appeal, the same lane as 2020's The Balancing Act. The Boston producer built the rollout around guest-heavy singles: "The Louvre," with Joey Bada$$, Westside Gunn, Stove God Cooks, and Rome Streetz, and "Champagne Wishes," with Ab-Soul, Raekwon, and Freddie Gibbs. The full tracklist also pulls in M.O.P., Boldy James, AZ, Killer Mike, and Cordae, continuing Statik's model of pairing veteran East Coast voices with newer names over his own boom-bap production.

The week in context

All four projects are reunions or comebacks rather than debuts: Lil Baby reuniting with Future and Young Thug on record for the first time in years, Skepta returning after a seven-year solo gap, SOB x RBE regrouping after a 2019 breakup, and Statik Selektah extending a producer-album format he's run since 2020. Last week's New Music Friday roundup covered BigXthaPlug, Sampa the Great, and Dominic Fike — none of this week's four overlap with those lineups or labels.
