The World Series is the whole night. Milwaukee can close it out in Tampa. Beyond that, the NBA runs a ten-game Wednesday including a nationally televised Thunder-Mavericks tilt, the NHL and Serie A both play full slates, and MLS wraps its regular season with every club kicking off at once.

Marquee: Milwaukee Brewers at Tampa Bay Rays (8:00 PM ET, FOX)

Game 5 of the World Series, and Milwaukee is one win from its first title since 1982. The Brewers won 103 games in the regular season, the best record in baseball, and they've carried that form into October at 10-2 overall this postseason. Jacob Misiorowski gets the ball for Milwaukee, but he's thrown just 8 1/3 innings across two playoff starts, so a fully rested Tampa Bay bullpen is lurking if the Rays can keep the game close into the middle innings. The Rays haven't named a starter. Both franchises are chasing their first championship.

Vegas line: Brewers -140 on the moneyline (Rays +124), Brewers -1.5 on the run line (+123), total 6.5 (via ESPN).

Also tonight

Everything else that matters tonight runs through Tampa. If the Brewers finish it, the parade is in Milwaukee. If not, this World Series goes back to American Family Field for Game 6.
